What I've Learned About Being A Working Mother - The Good, The Bad, andThe Ugly
Since I've started a new job and I'm gone 11 hours a day, 5 days a week and a half day on Saturday, I've learned so many things, good and bad.
The Good:
*I appreciate my kids so much more when I'm home. When I am at work, I think about how I can't wait to see them and things we can do together.
* My life seems to be on a schedule, I work better with schedules.
* My life is more organized, because it has to be.
* I'm making more money.
The Bad:
* There is just not enough time in the day for me to do anything anymore. I work, come home, eat, bath the kids and myself, go to bed. Repeat.
* I don't get to spend hardly any time with my family except for Sundays and half a day, Saturday. :(
* My coffee intake has increased drastically.
The Ugly:
* I've learned to either keep my bathrobe on over my clothes until I leave the house, or not to get dressed until the second I walk out the door. I've gone to work so many days not noticing I have baby food particles somewhere on me.
I do have to say that my kids have been so well behaved lately, I get the oldest one up right before I leave and she gets her self ready and out the door for the bus before dad even has a chance to check in on her. The next one has been eating dinner now with out an argument for quite sometime and even tries things are her own. They deserved a special reward so last night, as exhausted as I was, and as much as I can't stand the chaos of the place, we took the kids to Pizza Putt for dinner and fun!
